Prospective Graduate Students

If you are interested in joining the MPWR lab as an MA student or PhD student, please contact Dr. Mahoney at [email protected]. Note that Dr. Mahoney exclusively recruits graduate students with a primary research interest in co-occurring PTSD and substance use disorders (SUD) among women following exposure to interpersonal violence (i.e., sexual assault, intimate partner violence, community violence). While he has a secondary interest in Veteran mental health, this work is mainly conducted with external collaborators at the National Center for PTSD. If you are interested in trauma and PTSD broadly without a primary focus on co-occurring SUD among women assault survivors, then the MPWR Lab would likely not be a good fit for you and your future training. However, all inquiries are welcome!
