Kevin grew up in the small farming community of Wahoo, NE before obtaining his BS in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. After a brief stint working in R&D at Streck Laboratories (Omaha, NE), Kevin obtained his PhD in Chemistry under Prashant V. Kamat at the University of Notre Dame, studying “Electron Transfer Reactions in Quantum Dot Sensitized Solar Cells.” Following his PhD work, Kevin joined the lab of Michael S Strano at MIT as a postdoctoral researcher, which was followed by a faculty appointment at UCCS. In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, home renovation projects, and cooking.
